Later this year 4 women - including our own Emma Mitchell - will set off to row the Pacific. It will take them 6 months to row the 8,446 miles and will be a world first in rowing that route unsupported across the Pacific Ocean. They will travel from America to Australia, and in the process aim to raise quarter of a million pounds for their two charities Walking With the Wounded and Breast Cancer Care.
On Saturday 24th January 10am-4pm they are visiting Higginson Park in Marlow and bringing their boat - they'll be giving some rides in it and talking about what they are doing and why. Everyone is invited to come along.

We are actively looking for new members who wish to train and compete hard while holding down a job and having a social life.

We have passed a milestone with the new building, having reached "practical completion" stage with the builders. This means that while there are still minor works to do, and snagging to tidy up, the building is basically fit to go. This does mean that builders will continue to access the building over the coming weeks, including changing rooms, to remedy some known issues and to activate the lift.
Therefore the new club will be opening to the membership generally this weekend, to co-incide with the Long Distance Sculls on Saturday.
2014 Long Distance Sculls
After an enforced rest last year during our rebuild we are pleased to announce that we will be running the Long Distance Sculls event again, on Saturday 25th October 2014.
We are offering one division over the long course, suitable for singles, doubles and quads.
Entries on BROE
Tickets will be £5, and will be available on the door and online. The format will be pretty much like last time, although we cannot guarantee quite such a photogenic sunset.
