Following the Government announcement on 10 May, most outdoor watersports are now allowed as a form of daily exercise.

Rowing in a single scull, or in a double with a household member, conforms to the new rules.

In compliance with British Rowing guidelines, Marlow Rowing Club has instituted a planned return to the water. This includes:

  • safe access to private or club boats and equipment;
  • monitored sculling sessions, with timed arrivals to enable social distancing;
  • strict cleaning protocols.

The usual clubhouse facilities are not open and normal club activities are still suspended. Club members must not come down to the club to boat unless they have obtained permission to do so via the booking system.

Stay Safe everyone!

In view of the current Covid-19 situation and the decision by British Rowing to suspend all BR events until 30th June, we have sadly to cancel both Marlow Spring Regatta and Marlow Town Regatta for this year.

We send all our good wishes to our loyal clubs, competitors, supporters, officials and volunteers in these difficult times, and look foward to welcoming you all once again next year.

British Rowing has developed a new indoor rowing club model as part of the Go Row Indoor programme. The club model provides community rowing clubs with the training, support and materials needed to run Go Row Indoor classes within their club settings. These classes are designed to appeal to people in the local community looking for new forms of group exercise and can be run at times when rowing machines and gyms are not typically being used by club members.
