On 28 February the first season of Explore Rowing’s competition in our region ended at Hillingdon Rowing Club. This initiative was triggered by Jonathan Walne, our Captain, working closely with Paul Lorenzato, the British Rowing Area Participation Manager.

Marlow Rowing Club members polished up nicely last Friday 9th October, ditching the lycra in favour of black tie and cocktail gowns, to attend the celebratory dinner and dance held at the Crowne Plaza Marlow to raise the final funds for the new boathouse.

It is with sorrow that we announce the death of Mr WH (Bill) Findlay. Foremost rower of his generation, Bill was MRC Captain three times 1953-4, 1960-1 & 1969 and President 2008-13. He also served for many years as Chairman and President of Marlow Regatta.

The arrangements for Bill’s funeral are as follows:-
The date is Monday 11th January, when a private (family only) cremation will take place at 11:00am at Amersham. This will be followed by a Service at All Saint’s Church, Marlow at 12:30. After the service, all are welcome to cross the river to Marlow Rowing Club.

Talented Marlow Rowing Club Junior, Molly Harding, rowed in a coxless four at the the Senior British Championships in Nottingham this weekend along with Olympian Katherine Grainger.

Olympians - and beautiful autumn sunshine - made a perfect day for the official opening of Marlow Watersports Hub, the new home of Marlow Rowing Club

Today Erica Holmes flies out to Hungary to represent GB as part of the team for the Coupe de la Jeunesse, taking place in Szeged from 31 July until 2 August.
