1. I have been past Marlow RC a few times and wondered if there are any wooden singles that may be for sale by any of your members. Rowing in Norfolk on calm water, I already use a Jano would like a wooden shell at 85ks plus (the older the better!) Are you able to suggest any ideas as to how to obtain one. Best wishes, Phil. To celebrate the opening of our new boat house we are re-launching Boxing Day Fours - but in quads. This is will follow the usual format of scratch crews of all ages.

Jenny Hargreaves and Susie Moon have kindly offered to run a café service to keep everyone refreshed whilst we get things under way.

08:45 to 09:15 Registration is open. Each competitor will register individually, and contribute a £1 sweepstake.

Do arrive early to enjoy the atmosphere and coffee, and bring some change for the nominal entry fee.

09:15 Registration closes. Firmly.

After an exhausting weekend of seat racing and testing, all four of Marlow's junior girls plus Alex Haynes have been picked to represent GB this summer. Molly Harding and Heidi Long are off to the Junior World championships in Hamburg in August. Molly will race in the quad while Heidi is in the coxless four. Meanwhile, Rosalind Wilson, Erica Holmes and Alex Haynes will be packing their bags for Libourne near Bordeaux where this years Coupe de la Jeunesse (European Championships) takes place at the end of July. The girls will be racing in the quad and single respectively, while Alex has been selected for the double scull.

Bret King has been appointed as the sculling coach for the Coupe girls and the squad will be training out of Bisham before they go away so if you see them give them a cheer.

Congratulations to them all.
