On Saturday the juniors recorded a win in a composite J14 octuple, working with scullers from Nottingham Rowing Club. The crew, which came together only a few days before the race, cruised through its heat in first place and went on to win the final by 8 seconds.

Over the short course on Sunday the Mens IM2 8 took the winners medals in an exciting 3 way battle, proving to be too strong for their opposition and finally easing into a well deserved 2 length victory.

Marlow’s other crews worked hard to achieve several final and semi final places, notably Clive Loveday who won his repechage and was placed 4th in the final of J18 1x on Saturday, and finished 2nd in IM3 1x on Sunday. The IM2 8 progressed from their heat on Saturday as did the IM1 4- and the IM3 4+ on Sunday.

Finally, the event was extremely well supported by volunteers from the club on both days. Without their help there would be no Marlow Regatta and their efforts in staging another successful event must be applauded.
