Peter Chambers

Peter runs our highly successful junior programme. Before turning to coaching he rowed for Great Britain for 10 years, competing at 2 Olympics. His career highlight was winning an Olympic medal at London 2012.

Jamie Axon

Jamie joined us from Leander where he coached the 2022 Thames Cup eight. Jamie has a Masters in Sports and Exercise Nutrition. Prior to Leander, Jamie coached at Oriel College as the Head Mens Coach. Jamie rowed at Oxford Brookes winning the Ladies Plate in 2019 and 2021.
Senior Development Squad

Mike Landers

Mike is a qualified coach with a great track record of helping adults learn to row. At Marlow he developed his coaching skills and would take a crew of novice rowers from their first stokes in a boat through to the podium at the National Masters Regatta. Mike is now one of the lead coaches our Adult Development Squad.
J15 – J18, WJ15 – WJ18

Sophia Heath

Sophia has been part of our successful junior coaching team since 2021. Alongside her coaching she has completed her Masters degree in Business marketing. Sophia has an extensive history and high pedigree as an athlete, representing Great Britain multiple times on the World stage at Senior and u23 level. Winning the Windermere Cup, Head of the Charles Regatta and three times Championship winner at Henley Women’s Regatta.

Bruce Lynn

Bruce started rowing at Harvard University where he learned incomparable lessons about focus, inclusivity and the sport itself from legendary coach Harry Parker. He first joined Marlow RC in 1999, and later chaired and coached for the Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School rowing programme before volunteering to start to Adaptive programme at the club.
